FILM DIRECTOR
Also known as: Director, Movie Director, Television Director.
If you want to know how to become a movie director, you must be highly interested in movies. You can begin practicing by shooting some footages inside your home and edit using some editing software; this is really helpful in making a step towards the career.
A film director is in charge of making sure that every component of a movie runs smooth and nice. Generally, these directors work on a movie from its starting stage to its final stage. Directors also work with individuals in charge of lighting, scenery, writing and so forth to make sure that all of the elements come together. The director is in charge of the three main phases, pre-production, production and post-production.
What does a Film Director do?
A movie director is the person responsible for directing actors and film crew in the movie making process. The Director guide the actors and crew. The director has to understand all that it takes to produce a movie, including script editing, casting, shot selection, and composition. They are also responsible for the all other aspects of the film.
In addition to having control over nearly every aspect of the movie, film directors also have a large role in the technical aspects. Directors also help the actors to understand their role & characters in the scenes.
As the editing team start their work, the film director has the final say as to how the shots look and how they should be blended together.
A film director is also responsible for the budgetary concerns of a film. He or she will have to figure out how to deliver the movie on the the given budget.
Qualification
One does not need a formal qualifications/ certificate to become or to prove others that he's a Director. Yet, having a good knowledge of the film industry & having a good reel of his works is enough but most importantly, having hands on experience in the industry.
Experience
Experience is an important OR can be said as one of the most important component. Film directors usually spends several years in a related field such as acting, writing or supervising scripts before they move on to directing. With all these of experience they get a good grip in the Directing a Film/ Movie.
Skilful and Creative
A film director also needs to have the skills to complete the tasks and to do them in a more easy and efficient way they have to be Creative. The director will need to be able to multitask and fast, He/ She can't take a lot of time to produce a film and should have the capacity to complete everything in a decent time period. They should also have strong communication skills, so that they can convey things to the rest of the crew.
