Career as a Film Director or a Filmmaker?
Today we will discuss about the broad difference between a Film Director & a Filmmaker, which we always mess up and most of us thinks it as the same terms with different names. The role of a Director and a Filmmaker can be pretty confusing. Both plays a major role in the filmmaker industry.
Let's first talk about the role of a Director in the industry. The Director directs the set whether in a TV set or a movie or in any commercial. A director can simply be hired to work on a set to work on a film set and direct the actors and talk about the shots they want. Directors just direct that's all they can do and that's pretty much all there's in it.
Well a Filmmaking is a very broad term for someone who's involved in Filmmaking. A Filmmaker can be a lot of things same way an artist can be a painter or dancer or anything. A Filmmaker can also be a film Producer, He can basically handle a film from the start to finish.
If you want to understand it simpler way, A Director sticks to one thing but a Filmmaker can do and involve himself in all kinds of things.
I hope this post was helpful to you all and I see you next time.
